Our developer has created a back-end solution for running and outputting reports. The only issue is that we seem to be unable to access the 'Excel (Data Only)' option that is available in Crystal 9 through the command line.

Has anyone been able to access this feature?

Thanks,
Kristen

This requires setting a registry value at runtime (see Crystal tech support document):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER, "Software\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\Export", "ExcelDataDump"

Note: while implementing this in my software (Visual CUT) I discovered that there's a bug in Crystal's implementation of the switching between Excel export formats based on the registry setting (Crystal later confirmed this), so extra coding was necessary to get around this.

Cheers,

CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
