Looking to compact the workspace from within a program

Hi all,

I am trying to find a way to programatically compact the Notes Workspace under R5. I thought I could use the db.Compact method, but that doesn't seem to work under R5 any longer.

Does anyone know of a method, be it script, formula, or whatever, that I can use to compact the Workspace?? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I am responding to my own post. I found the answer elsewhere and wanted to pass it along to anyone else who might find the information useful.

Unfortunately the answer is "No". According to the Notes R5 Designer Help file:

"A script cannot compact the current database (the database is which the script is running) or the desktop.dsk file".

That pretty much says it all.
