I am looking for your valued suggestion as I move through a career transition.
What is the best way to get a position, to quickly gain updated PM experience with a company that values my past experience and allows me to grow as a Project Manager?

I have a BS in Electrical Engineering degreed and am CAPM certified.
I dedicated to Project Management, and the continuance of my certifications.

My 20+ years of experience has been in technical engineering support positions.
These have been in new product development of H/W, S/W, F/W, in the technologies of Data, Tele., Sat. Communication, MPEG DVB Systems and Broadband SOCs.
Leading projects was often a part of the positions. I have not held a PM Titled position; however throughout my career I have worked through all the PMI, Project Life Cycles and been involved in all of the knowledge areas one way or another.
Much of my PM work experience goes beyond 10 years, and the projects and duties varied depending on the company, the position and projects I worked on.
I am ready, dedicated and excited to gain a position as a focused and titled technical PM.

I value and look forward to your comments and suggestions regarding this matter.
Thank you.

Apparently, you have experience as a PM but have never held a job title as PM. And apparently, you are not satisfied with only having experience and want the title. I suggest you apply for and study for the PMP certification. This can be your key to getting a title change at work. In addition, for those people who want certifications, titles (you get to put PMP after your name), and the prestige of being a in professional organization, PMP is the way to go.
