Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has a good supplier of voice patch cables. I'd like something as thin and flexible as possible. Almost like cross connect wire with a shrink-wrap sheath.

I know I could make my own but I have almost 200 to install and it would be easier having factory made.

Thanks for any info.

What are you trying to patch? Is it RJ to RJ, or RJ to termination?

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

Use line cords. Get a roll and you can make them whatever length you want. They take little time to make compared to twisted pair crimping. Also, you can make them on the spot, to length.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

You can also order the amounts and lenghts needed from suppliers, thus saving you time.
Yes, most just use 'line cords'.

If you look in the archives there was some discussion about 2 conductor modular cordage.

Not sure if the guy ever found it. But I have seen stuff that was narrower and therefore more flexible, so it exists.

Good Luck

Making line cords is not that time consuming, twisted pair cords are more so. The pre-made ones come in standard lengths, that may work well. Making them means the length can be flexible. Choose what works best for you.

I have been looking for a supplier of "cut cords", RJ11, 1 or 2 pair, solid wire that comes in various lengths with RJ11 at both ends, great for cutting to length and then punching down. Flexible enough for your needs Blueline.

but I can not find them

I used to use them at Avaya but since being laid off I have to scrounge instead of popping into the piggly wiggly

you can try Mike sandman I know he used to sell them

you can order them graybar too I believe

I Usually make a bunch up while watching tv

Yes Sandman has these, though I am pretty sure he only sells one length.

They are mod to mod. You can cut them in half, or on some other ratio and then punch down the other end. Very handy to have a few in your truck.
