Does anyone know of any software that will do this? Does the "offline" feature built into windows really work. How does it know if it should overwrite?
The offline feature in Windows 2000 works great, with one small exception. It will not sync the following types of files.
.db? .ldb .mdb .mde .mdw .pst .slm
It tracks which files have been modified and then over writes the older versions. It even has a safty feature built in. If you modify a file offline, and another user modifies the online copy of that file, you are given the option of keeping your file, keeping their file, or keeping both files.
