Does anyone here have any experience with using PIDX (Petroleum Industry Data Exchange) formatted documents? I'm especially interested in how it relates to Digital Oilfield and/or RosettaNet.

If you have any experience regarding the exchange of information with specific companies (Chevron, Conoco, Oxy, Pioneer, and/or XTO), I'd be interested in that as well.

We're currently using an intermediary to translate our "custom" XML documents into PIDX documents. It's getting rather expensive so I'm looking into generating and uploading the PIDX information directly. I'm fairly certain that our accounting software provider can create a usable export application. However, I can't seem to find any clear information on how to get the PIDX documents to the respective company. Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like I need something called RosettaNet. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone have a rough estimate of the costs involved with implementing RosettaNet?

Any information would be appreciated.
