Looking for page advice

I am looking to put a page on my website so that people can type in their name and a Password and it will take them to a page that I have set aside just for their name? Is there any programs or software out there that do this? Thank you for your advice on this subject.

this can be done with either javascripts, which are not very protective, or you can go with cgi scripts, you can look for cgi script almost anywhere, i goto

the have a whole section on perl cgi scripts a they do have a section with password cgi-scripts, you do however need some knowledge of how to use them and install them, therefore a little unix/winNT knowledge may be needed
