I'm looking for a photo quality printer for home use.

My tendancy is to lean towards the HP PhotoSmart series.

Does anyone have a better suggestion? Or support the HP printers?

Tell me your tales of woe. Or joyful experiences.

Personally, I'd go with HP anything...best long term quality. (you get what you pay for!)

I've installed and support about 80 HP printers of various types. I've also used Star, Canon, Lexmark and others. Recommend HP over all the others for reliability and ease of installation (as long as you follow the instructions to the letter. Sometimes install drivers first, then hook up printer, other times hook up printer, then install drivers; almost never use plug and play Windows new hardware found to install HP printer).

I have some older ones that have been running for 8 years. Time flies when you don't know what you're doing...

have had good results using my epson. knoweldge is power, spread the power

Canon has some really nice photo printers out right now...the S800, S820 and S900 are all really nice. They use individual ink tanks so when you're out of one color that's all you need to replace. Also, they have the regular colors AND the photo color inks included.

I would agree with K1c2 as far as HP having great long term reliability. If you would like assistance in locating a unit, let me know for I am a reseller of HP equipment.
