Can anybody tell me if there is a function in oracle or some other approach I can input a string and get a MD5
output?

Thanks

MJia,

I'm sure we can propose a solution if you please confirm the behaviour you wish to see with an "MD5" function.

Thanks Mufasa,

The idea is the user login the website, the underneath database oracle stored procedure need to verify it's a valid user, the password should be the md5(userid + pass).
The password column is set when the user register himeself.
The register procedure need generate this column and also
return this column to the caller for activate the account.
