Hi,

Im trying to find a Java course based in the South of England (London), and am looking for a recommendation from any of you that have been on one and thought .

I know C and have been on a C++ course, but have little real practical experience in it. I also know HTML, and a little javascript and am looking to ultimatly write assorted Java apps to run under Websphere.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

John.

Depends how much dosh you have to throw around, personally I would do a bit of self teach first. If you are tight with money like me, you could wait around until the start of the academic term and then find out which Universities are having Java as part of their Computer Science degrees (most of them these days) and attend the lectures - most lectures are so packed no one will know whether or not you are actually a student.

Failing that, even though I have not attended any Java course there, I have attended course with what was Cap Germini training but is now QA Training, based in Stag Place SW1. The courses I have attended there have been good value (although obviously I was not paying for it as it was with work).

I also have a friend who has attended a lot of courses at Learning Tree, based in Eversholt Street - next to Euston Station.

They all have brochures to send out. But bear in mind you will top dollar for any course in Java. It is a hot skill at the moment.
