Hey,

What I'm looking for is the following :

From a pop-up form, you can select several reports based on different criteria.
As some reports take a long time to run, I wanted to inform the user, as it sometimes looks like the PC stopped responding.

Therefore, I created a small form, with a label on it "Please Wait..."

However, I want to make it a bit more "active", and show something like a progress bar.

Does anyone know how I can do this in a simple way ??

I was also thinking on a 'running clock', by which the arrow keeps spinning and spinning around, so it gives the impression the Pc is still active.

I just don't know how to do this.

For a spinner, you could look up the timer function and use it to change a text message on your form. I did this once, a long time ago in Clipper. I used the following four characters:

| / -
I just changed which character was displayed every so many records loaded. You could change them based on an amount of time going by...

Does that help? Terry M. Hoey

Access provides a built in progress meter using the SysCmd function.
