Ever single I went online, I have been using Google's Dictionary command ( and enjoying it very much ). However I'd like to be able to tap into a page that can provide more than meaning, e.g. grammer, similies, etc. etc. Which are some such good sites?

Nothing other than dictionary and thesaurus there ( and Google/Dictionary picks up Merriam dictionary entries anyway ). What about some grammer, atonyms, etymology etc. - everything to do with a word in a single page.

Sorry about the spelling. VisualThesaurus was very interesting! But its not free.

I go to for many of my needs. They have links to several grammar and style guide sites as well as dictionaries and thesauruses (or thesauri, either is correct acccording to the dictionary.)

MS Word has a built-in grammar-checker... I wonder if any of the Open Source competitors do?
