I realise this is a lame thread but I'm looking for early versions of the jdk1.1.8, the earliest i can find is 1_1_8_006 but the files it installs have a modified date of 06/12/2000,whereas the version i need has files dated 02/04/1999, i've had a look on the sun java archive page but cannot find any earlier versions there but the software I an trying to use will work with nothing but the right version....also, if i look at the readme it only says it is version 1.1.8 of which there were several releases,it doesn't tell me the full version number, if someone can tel me how to just get the full version number from the install files that would be helpful in itself.
