I am trying to find a component that implements a drive/directory/file tree where each node has a check box so you can add it the selected object list.

Basically I want to emulate the explorer style view found in Veritas Backup Exec and the ntbackup.exe program that comes along with NT/2000. Those programs use it to select the drives, directories and files to be backed up.

It needs to be compatible with Delphi 6 or 7.

Does anyone know if one exists? Preferably freeware - but I am willing to buy one if I have to.

TIA :)

The clue is in the last post because failing getting an off the shelf component, you can implement this with the Treeview component that comes with Delphi.
It is a fair amout of work though.
I cant understand why Borland diddnt supply file and folder browsing compontents with the W32 stuff as they did with the old W3.1 component set, it had File, Directory and Drive list box components that can be linked togeter to make a file browser no problem.
In fact I just checked and D6 still has these.
Steve.
