I manage a 9 PBX geographicaly diverse system and am increasingly becoming involved in Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP)design projects as our campuses expand.

I'd like to use best practices and interested in the Bellcore standards.

Can anyone suggest a Bellcore primer to me?

Thanks!

I think Skip has you in the right direction. BICSI has pretty much all the "standards" laid out in various manuals. I would recommend you buying the TDMM (Telecommunications Distributions and methods manual)for one and also the ITSI (Information Transportation systems installations manual)

These two will give you pretty much anything you can imagine in the way of cabling.

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

For the best response to a question, read faq690-6594

If you've got the cash to buy into them, the Telcordia standards are a good referrence, too. (Probably the best referrence, in my opinion.)
