Hi,

Our IPO voice-compression module (DSP) is damaged and we are looking for a
Rep Center to RMA this module.

The module has code:

“PBA VOICE COMPRESSION MOD 20

40YPB5002UKAP
PCS 01”

We trying to buy a new module but it is really very expensive

Does any know if Avaya have a service for repair this module. ?

Could you please we me a link or email to contact the Avaya repair center

Thanks in advance.

Gustavo

I think you would be hard pressed to get this repaired, as I have always just replaced ones under warranty. Avaya do have a service centre in UK, chances are they will not be able to repair it or want to. Too much arsing about in there eyes I would say.

Keep your eyes on ebay, I have seen some up there in the past.
Dumb question but how have you come to the conclusion that the module is dead ???

Hi MrIpo,

Thanks for your reply,

I concluded that the module is dead because:
The IPO goes in a loop cyclic restart, and never comes up.
In any reboot the console show the message:

Expanding MPPC image ...
[2JLOOPTEST [2JVCOMPPCB::WARNING failed to load code

I extracted the module and the Ipo goes up, but of course the Voip not work more.

Do you think, showing this symptoms, that the problems in the compressor module ?

Any help will be welcomed.

Thanks,

Avaya repairs ar subcontracted out to Multimessage in potters bar UK, I have a few contacts at this location & they do repair VCM boards
However I suspect that your board should still be under warantee so why not return it to your dealer?

Hi IPGuru,

Unforunally our IPoffice is not in warrany.

Could you please give me the phone, e-mail or addres of the company that reapir VCM boards ?

Thanks,

Gustavo
