Looking for any Creative Ideas regarding a Budgeting app

I am tossing around ideas on how to implement a budgeting application.

Basics of what I need:

      1. For selected project, add staff to the budget
      2. Add time budgets for charge accounts associated with that project.
      3. Search users' outlook calendar for available time and then send meeting requests for them to work on that project.

I'm just looking for any creative ideas...I have some basic ones ready, but I know there's better ideas out there...
