I am using autocad 2004 and am quite new to the program but can use the basic draw tool. I have drawn a piece 1:1 (and have dimentions on it) that is bigger than A3 paper is there a sipmle way to make the drawing smaller so it can be printed onto A3?

Hi lukeroberts2005,

Why not just set your scale in your plot dialog box to "fit"?

lukeroberts2005,
I dont mean to sound bad, but you really need to read about PAPERSPACE, VIEWPORTS, and Scaleing thru Viewports...if not in your manual, at least in the F1 help menus...everything you need to know about plotting your drawing to a scale is in there....

Get back to us when you have read these topics and let us know if you still have questions...

I really think that, at the level of his question, the plotting form provides an acceptable answer without having to deal with other objects.
