I'm considering replacing all of my routers with some SonicWALL products. My problem is that I'm not completely sure which product/model is the most appropriate for my setup. I've had some limited exposure to client-based VPNs, but I've never done anything with site-to-site connections so I don't really know what to expect performance-wise.

Remote offices:
- 7 of them
- Each has from 3 to 9 users (32 total)
- DSL at each location (1.5/384 or 3/768)
- Want site-to-site VPN connection to main office (primarily for Remote Desktop/Terminal Server traffic with printing from main office to remotes, email and occasional file-sharing in the future)
- Want VPN access for 1 or 2 people per location
- Want separate traffic (primarily wireless) for employees and visitors
- Want some content filtering
* I'll probably go with something like a TZ210

Main office:
- 26 users
- Cable (8/1) and DSL (3/768) Internet connections
- Need dual WAN capability
- Want site-to-site VPN connection to each remote office
- Want VPN access for about 5 users
- Want separate traffic (primarily wireless) for employees and visitors
- Want some content filtering
* This is where I'm having trouble. Unless I'm wrong, it looks like I should go with either an NSA 240 or 2400. The main differences are in memory and performance. Would I even notice the differences based on my setup?

Anyone have any input/suggestions/recommendations?

The wireless TZ210 would be a good choice for your remote offices, plus allow SSL VPN connections from the outside world should that be a desirable feature. Performance should not be an issue give the DSL line speed.

Regarding the main office I would go with the NSA2400 to get the better performance, since you will have the 7 site to site connections.

Suggest you consider the Total Secure option for both.

Thanks for your input, psi07004.
