Hi all,
Tek-Tips is the goto place for many things, but based on the frequency of postings in this category, this is not the busiest place for Linux questions/answers/etc...

With respect, I'm wondering what some recommended Linux forums are that have a huge and active following?
Thanks.

I prefer quality to quantity. :) But if you want the latter, unix.com is also usually very busy.

Well, I am genuinely surprised at the speed of your replies - thank you! I may have judged this forum too quickly. I will stay a while and watch..... and participate. [smile]

Regards,
Mike

is pretty active as well.

It's not necessarily this board that is quiet, just simply that "professional/workplace" Linux/Unix users tend to be more tech/system savvy than the average "professional Windows" jockey :D

Discussion boards that are orientated towards "public" or "general" Linux users usually appear "busier".

Chris.

Thanks Chris.
With fingers crossed, I will post my current question/issue shortly.

I agree with Anni on quality verses quantity. I find there is much less "noise" here, and the technical depth of the replies is invaluable.

I will second the nomination for Linuxquestions.org. In terms of Linux Security issues, I think it is second to none. By a similar token, I think this forum is the winner with respect to Windows issues, especially with respect to virus and malware issues.

I haven't heard of Windows... is that a new distro? :p
