Looking for a way to strip stationery from incoming Outlook mail

I want to automatically remove stationery from incoming messages when using Outlook 2007.

Currently, I'm using a macro to convert the message to plain text. However, I don't want to remove all formatting from the messages. I just want to remove those annoying background images.

Has anyone figured out how to do this?

Wow... A solution to this would probably be welcomed by those running out of disk space on their servers everywhere!! Plus I can't stand replying on most of them either because I'm used to old school typing and when I go for a double space (signature) I don't want it to have 4 line spaces in there, or because the standard font colors I use for replying, etc tend to disappear into some of the more annoying ones! The pro-Microsloth folks will say "Yeah, but Outlook filters out those extra <CR>'s"... well not everyone in the world uses outlook!!

So you have another vote for an answer to this one!

Stationery doesn't take up a lot of space. It's just annoying. And replying to them is simple - set the reply to plain text, and poof - it's gone. I do that for anyone who uses some insane colored font, wallpaper, and or other unnecessary formatting.

But a quick Google search shows a few interesting approaches.

The problem is that I don't want to see stationery at all, but I do want to keep other formatting elements that might be present in the message.
