We have a system running Windows 2000 Server which failed to boot a few days ago due to corruption in the file "\Winnt\system32\config\software". In order to get the system to boot, we copied that file over from another system running Win2K Server. Of course, that introduced its own set of problems, but at least we were able to get the system to boot.
We kept a copy of the corrupt "software" file (naming it "software_bad"). There are some configuration settings for some of our software contained within that file that I need to access.
Does anyone know of any utility applications (or other methods) that would me to view the contents of the "software_bad" file?
Thanks
