Hey All,

Im looking for a solution in regards to Music On Hold. Customer has NO Equipment as of yet and im wondering what I would need to make this Happen

Purposed Scenario;

IP500 Latest Software Release
VMPro Latest Software

3 Companies and I need 3 Different Music on Hold Messages for 3 Different Companies. Lets assume Company 1 is a Pharmacy, Company 2 is a Dr Office, and Company 3, Computer Store all running on 1 phone system but all want different music on hold messages. Is this possible with out putting in 3 IP500's? and where would I look.?

Thank You

with the IP500 on the latest you can have 4 different hold music sources on one system, you can have 4 90 sec wav files or 1 external source (cd player) and 3 90 sec wav files.

so Just to be clear if i understand this right I can use 1 different type of MOH source for each of the 3 companies.

Call Comes in Company 1 VM answers call gets placed on Hold
Company 1 MOH Plays VIA External Music Source

Call Comes in Company 2 VM answers call gets placed on Hold
Company 2 MOH Plays VIA Internal Music Source

Call Comes in Company 3 VM answers call gets placed on Hold
Company 3 MOH Plays VIA Internal Music Source 2

Thanks In Advance

Justin

That's correct, the system tags the call with a certain hold nusic so when that call gets transferred around it always get's the correct source :)

IP Office 4.2

• Music on Hold Source Selection
The 4 possible music on hold sources are numbered 1 to 4, with 1 being the IP Office System Source. Where the source number to associate with a call is changed by an Incoming Call Route or Hunt Group, that number is retained when the call is rerouted across the SCN. If the receiving switch has a matching numbered alternate source that source is used.

Hold Music (Music on Hold)

The IP Office system supports up to 4 sources of music on hold - one system source which may be external, internal (WAV) or tone, plus up to 3 additional internal sources. Small Office Edition supports either one internal or one external music on hold source at a time. The internal sources are .WAV files saved either in volatile memory, or on the optional memory card in an IP500, IP406 V2 or Small Office Edition. The .WAV file must be 16bit PCM mono and sampled at 8Khz with a maximum duration of 30 seconds.

From release 4.2, the alternate sources for music on hold are selectable for use by Incoming Call Routes or Hunt Groups (not available on the Small Office Edition). On IP500 systems, each source can be up to 90 seconds long (30 seconds on IP406 V2 and IP412).

External music on hold sources connect to the 3.5mm Audio socket on all IP Office control units.
