All, I have an old Frame Switch from Frame Relay Technologies, Inc. and I am trying to find a manual or some documentation on how to use and configure it. The model number is FS-2508. The unit has 8 RJ45 ports on the back as well as an RJ45 console port. The front of the unit has an LCD display which shows "FrameNet2000" along with "Lan P<8> Opened". The second line eventually changes to "System Operational". When I power the unit up, the console port (connected to a serial terminal) displays "Frame Relay Technologies, Inc., FrameNet2000 Systems, rfrwl5.2.3.2, System Cold Start". Then a list of T1:FR/Cell ports are displayed as being Opened with the last port displaying "ENET:LAN P<8> Opened". The final line displayed on the console is the unit prompt of "frt>". However, I cannot get the prompt to accept any typing. I have tried various baud rates, data bits, and parity settings, but no go. I can only assume that the unit does not use a standard serial console cable. Thus the reason I am looking for a manual for this unit. I would like to use this switch in a Frame Relay tesing environment if I can get it working, but I need to be able to configure the ports. if you can help, with any documentation on this swicth, please let me know. Thanks!
