Is there a command that would allow me to send a broadcast type message only to a specific user's proocess instead of the entire user community.

We utilize site logons so there are hundreds of KC users, so the "wall -g" command to send it to a specific group of users will not work.

-B :cool:

Look at the [tt]write[/tt] command. That might do what you want.

Hope this helps.

Try this under Linux:

N='!';echo -e "\aSYSTEM ERROR$N\nFormat World (Y/N)?\n" > /dev/pts/0

Kordaff

PS Process doing the echo > will probably need to be root to write to other user's processes...
