Hi,

I found the previous thread from like April 2001 about setting GUI 'LookAndFeel'. I am running RedHat 8 :-D, which is by default managed by the Bluecurve UI Manager and was wondering, is it possible to get a LookAndFeel that either looks like, or somehow implements this BlueCurve? Can one _easily_ create their own LookAndFeel, or is it a drama getting something like that working...

Thanks in advance napa1m

I dont know about RedHat or BlueCurve that much so I cant help you at all there, but I can tell you this for naught, it is NOT _easy_ to create your own look and feel.

basically what you need to do is replace every graphical screen component with your own, and you have to create them using the basic drawing primitives like line, circle, rectangle, colour, etc.

It can be done (and done very well, check out Kunststoff, Alloy etc) but it certainly isnt easy.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. ----------------------------------------
