Look Up Table Idea?

Here's what I have (that's not working):

Select Case County

fldNovellLogon = LCase(LastName - FirstName)
Case "yy"
NovellLogonID = LCase(lname - fname)

Duane on this board suggested a look up table instead; can anyone elaborate?

Hi,

A lookup table is a table used purely for looking up data. Normally it will be joined on the main table in a query and the data retrieved as part of it.
