Hi,

I have two long varchar fields from SQL Server 7.0 (longer than 255 characters) that I'm including in a CR7 report, and the report isn't treating them as memo fields, but is calling them strings of length 255. How can I get the report to consider them as memo fields, so I'll get the entire length displayed??

I've read the FAQ in the general forum on varchar/memo and many other posts, but haven't found the answer yet....

Many thanks,
Ray

In case anyone is having this problem, an answer that ended up working for me is to Convert the database driver to an ODBC driver, using a machine dsn (you need to create the dsn first and then in Crystal go to Database > Convert Database Driver, pick ODBC and then pick your driver from the list). Now the whole field is showing up even over 255 characters!!!
