Long time taken for desktop to appear

Hello Gurus
Subject says it all...
After entering my username and password on to my HP UX 11 machine it takes atleast a minute to show the desktop..Before the desktop screen comes immediately as soon as I enter my password.
I am not sure of the problem..no upgrades were done..
