I have two netware 6 severs, and both have 0% listed for long term Cache hits.

My three netware 5 servers have beetween 78% and 92% listed.

Anyone know why both NW 6 servers would be listed at 0%? is there a setting i need to change?

Because you're using NSS on NetWare 6. It doesn't use the same stats.

I'd be more worried about figuring out why one of your 5.x servers is only running at 78%. How much RAM do you have in it and do you have any Btrieve apps running on there?

confusing stat that - seems to catch people

78% does suck though

The server with 78% has 256MB of ram just like the other NW 5 servers. Yes, they are all old, but that can't be helped for the time being.

We don't run any Btrieve apps as far as I know. None of our in-house developed ones for sure. Are there native btrieve novell programs that would run on the servers?

No, usually your cache should be higher than that, but I've seen large Btrieve database applications that will suck it down to the low 70's.

With 256MB, that would probably explain it. More RAM, if possible, would probably help performance on the nw5 boxes.
