Long Image Greyed Out 1

Hi Everyone,
I've made a long thin image in Photoshop, (5400px x 45px) and Imported into Flash MX, however when the Image is centered it is just a grey strip. If I move the image to less than X: -1638 the image displays fine but as soon as i Nudge it over to X: -1639 it goes Grey. I would reeaaly appreciate any help on this one, Maybee someone else has come across the same thing? Thanks a lot in advance.

Think the limit is +/-2800 pixels in Flash.

Thanks a lot Oldnewbie,
Maybe you can give me some suggestions. Baisically, I want a bar across the page with descriptions of all my buttons. I want the a certain part of the bar to scroll into a masked area depending on which button is rolled over, baisicaly letting you know what the button does, but as it scrolls accross you see all the other descriptions (I set up a 600 px width for each description) and when you roll off it will scroll back to a default position (centre).

That's pretty much the best I can describe it, If you can understand it, I take my hat off to you. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks alot for your time.
