long fixed width records being truncated

Hi all,

I have a set of records that are about 1200 characters long. The Import setup puts a red line at 1080, and then I cannot specify the last few fields that comprise the remaining 120 characters.

A couple of questions - is the 1080 some hard and fast number? Is the 1080 being triggered by my data or is this just an import spec limitation?

How can I work around this? Is there another way to specify the fields?
