Hai All,
I have some basic knowledge of FAT12, FAT16 . Now I am studying about FAT32. According to my knowledge , There are only 32 byte entry for a file / Directory . And for file name, they have allocated only 11 bytes ( 8 for name 3 for extension ). But from windows95, we can give filename more than 8 characters. How it is possible? How the OS developers override the limitation ( 8 Characters ).. Is there any new directory format for storing directory entries?.
