Hi Folks

I have an excel spreadsheet which calculates race rankings based on distance and time and shows equal ranks for equal times.

I want to put this on an overhead projector in the club house so the riders can see their rankings, but it won't fit on the screen!

Rather than using silly small fonts, is there a way I can do this with 2 x side by side columns?

Note that I need to order the riders by rank as I get their times, and this is where I'm struggling with the side-by-side idea.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Graham

If you're showing the Excel spreadsheet in "real time", you can open a new window of the same spreadsheet using Window, New window, and then Window-Arrange-Vertical. This will give you two independent views of your same spreadsheet, side-by-side, and you can scroll one of them to show the second half of the data.

Thanks Lionel, that is handy.

Hi Graham,

re your original query, what I would do is have a separate sheet setup with the columns side by side so it is all visible and set the cells up so they display the relevant details from your worksheet.

As you have found, the way you have data set up in a worksheet for entry or sorting may not be suitable for displaying it, so you can use a separate sheet to setup the display as you need.

Good Luck!

A quick way is to customize your toolbars to show the Camera tool, and select the second half of the list, click the camera tool, and draw the camera picture to the right of the top half of the list.

Cheers, Glenn.
