long distance recomendations

Need to connect a friend to another friends cable modem.
They are 7-8 miles apart, line of site.
Parabolic dishes straight into 200mw bridges ok?
Freeman Bird or Hyperlink Tech equipment probably.
Not sure if regular Linksys bridges can hack it.
Any FCC issues here?
