Long delay when finding user in the AD

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with my Moss farm when I need to add a new domain user to a site.

If I enter an user name in the "user/groups" field and click on the "check names" icon, everything goes fine. After less than a sec. the username is resolved.

But, if I choose instead, click on the "browser" icon and enter the username in the "find" field in the new window, it takes up to 10 minutes to lookup the username.

It happens on all the 3 front-end servers and the Index server I have in the farm.

If I do an AD search using the Active Directory Users and Computer from any of the servers in the farm everything works fine and fast.
