Hi,
We are having some problems with people deciding to start playing around with other peoples machines through SMS to change things, nothing serious but people aren't owning up to it. Is there a log file or a place to look to check at a list of people who have logged into the remote tools so we can trace who is doing it? Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

In admin console...

1. Open up the System Status node.
2. Expand Status Message Queries
3. Look for Remote Tools Activities...

These should give you the information you seek.

Keep in mind that the data available to these queries are dependent upon the Delete Aged Status Messages setting (Site Settings > Database Maintenance > Tasks)

Further, you could consider changing the Remote Tool Client Agent settings for the site(s) to limit who can perform remote functions, and to provide notification and/or require acknowledgement by those being remotely controlled.

You can also look in the security log of the workstation being remoted to. Any type of authentication, even remote, is captured.
