Logon to a domain offline

Hello,

I have a user who has a Windows XP laptop, he used too be able to go home logon to the domain but obviously with no network drives available.

Now when he tries to logon to the domain it is saying that it is unavailable, this is true but he needs to access his files offline.

Is there anyway he can logon to the domain offline again?
