I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server acting as a Domain controller with ADS running on it and a seperate file server attached to it. I created a share on the file server for the Users home folder. I then created the user's logon name and password, placed it under an OU and set a group policy under the OU that contains a logon script that maps the users home folder and another share folder. The problem is, when I logon to a Windows 98 PC with the users account, I don't get any of the drive mappings, even though all the correct permissions have been given.

I installed the ADS client on the Windows 98 PC but still no effect. Is there something I am missing here?

Thanks.

Hmm I think it doesn't work well with Win98 clients (only with NT/Win2K based clients)
but I'm not sure... Peter Van Eeckhoutte

Yeah win 98 clients are horrible, I think you have to call the script with a bat file.

W2K Group Policies will not work with downlevel clients, e.g. 98, NT4, 95, etc...you'll have to point the 98 machine to the batch file via the user's login properties...
