Is it possible to edit the HKLM hive within the registry during a Logon Script (Win2K3 AD)?

Thanks

For the HKLM hive I'd use a computer startup script instead.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks PHV, I was pretty sure someone would say that.

I would use the DesktopStandard RegistryExtension instead. It is a free add on to Group Policy that will let you make registry changes. Since it is then a GPO, the update can occur while the PC is running when GPOs refresh without a reboot.

Note: some settings may not take effect until the user logs off and back in.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
