I have replaced my computer and have everything working except the logon script so I can see the network drives. The new computer has the same name as the old one, and the domain is correctly identified and recognized. The passwords and users (I think)are set up the same. The logon script doesn't appear to run. Is that a local thing? What can I look for? Thanks!! PS - There is no systems administrator to ask (small group here).

Is the script set in the user's properties "Profile" tab?

bluenoser, on the server in Active Directories and Computers where the Users are, double click on a user and then the Profile tab. There you will see under User Profile - Profile path: and Logon script: - in the Logon script box I have my logon.bat file listed here. I have the logon.bat files stored at

C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL\domain\scripts and
C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL\sysvol\mydomain.local\scripts

I'm not sure which bat file actually runs as they both are the same, but I had to make sure I put that "logon.bat" in the user profile on the server.

bluenoser337, check out my login script FAQ.It may help you.

I hope that helps.

Mark
