Hi,

I use a table combined with a Command (SQL command). (I use an OLE DB connection) in a report. When I try to view the report, I get a logon prompt. In that logon prompt I can only enter the username and the password. The dropdownbox Server Name and Database are disabled. I use a .NET application to view the report. I can enter the parameters necessary for the SQL command.

Can somebody help me?

Thx in advance

I forgot something...

If I click Finish in the logon prompt, I get the message: Logon failed. Please try again.

This could be a number of things..without knowing more about your connection strings, where they are being used etc..all I can say is test each part idividually to try to figure out where it is failing..

I would try setting up a DSN and connect to the data without ASP.net first. If that doesn't work then the problem could be access rights to your Database.

Then test the OLEDB connection locally as well - if that works it could be your ASP.net page is not handling the connection string correctly.

See faq766-540

Wish I could be more help..

The problem is something else, it will be a problem in my .NET application. Something with the data source binding... I think my application does only support dynamic data source binding for tables and not for commands...

Thx for your suggestions ksaab2002!
