Logon not possible(error in license check)

What is this message? Users started getting this message while logon and failed to logon.

Hi,
has your SAP license expired?
You should see when you type 'saplicense -show' at OS prompt.
hope this helps

Actually it was a license problem. Reinstalling the correct license solved the issue.
