Hi All,
We have several workstation in our environment that got infected with viruses and spyware. The common thing among all of them was the Powerscan spyware (among other spyware issues). We cleaned all the systems and removed any traces of viruses and spyware. However, we do have one issue that we can't seem to figure out. These workstations are XP and Windows2000 Pro. When booting up to the logon screen, when entering your username and password you hit enter and then you get an hour glass and a blue screen in the background. It just hangs at the hour glass. When you hit Alt+Ctrl+Del and do a logoff, in the background you see the icons and then the system logs off. Now when you logon a second time it logs in fine. So each time the user boots up the system, they login, get a blue screen and then logoff and then when logging in a 2nd time no problems.
Has anyone experienced this and can offer any suggestions for a fix?
Thanks in advance,
Zoey
