logoff users locally when system is locked

Problem:
I have a number of systems that are used in a laboratory by users. these systems require users to log into AD in order to edit patient data. The problem come when a user leaves without logging off. The system will lock and then an IT staff member will need to remote in and unlock the system.

I know that there is software that will add a force loggoff button to the login screen so a user can force another one off whenthe system locks itself, but i cannot find it.

Long winded way of asking "Does anyone know of a peice of software that will allow users to log each other off if the system locks?"

yeah, that would work if it did not take so long and require users to be smart enough to do it.

so a clarification is in order from me as i didn't explain all that well.

If a user is in the middle of a test the data collection program will be up and running. the user has no reason once the test is started to interact with the computer, that being the case the system will then begin an inactivity countdown and that runs the risk of logging off the user and ruining the test data.

I am looking for a way to have the system lock after a certain ammount of inactivity. If the user has left without logging off i need a button to show on the login screen that will force the user off.

A program called netOff used to have this capability i think, but it is no longer listed on citadel's website for purchase.

Seems like a piece of script could do that.... ummm... something to sense if the screensaver is activated, and after x minutes of being in screen-saver mode, logging the user off?

It allows you to do a variety of things, including shutdown, restart, log off, reboot, etc.
