I have the above webcam which has worked in the past no problem under 98 ME XP home.

I have recently upgraded to XP Pro and seem to have tried everything to get the darn thing to work but with absolutely no luck at all.

Does anyone know why this is the case - wont my camera ever work under xp pro - am I looking at buying a new webcam or having to change from xp pro.

Any advice gratefully received.

Did you go to the Logitech site/support and see if there are updated drivers? Can you try the unit on a friends 98 computer? It may have just died.

Can anybody help on this issue, I have exactly the same problem with QC Xpress in XP Pro (unrecognised device) but I do not have a computer running XP Home to test it on, works fine in Win98. I have downloaded the latest stuff from Logitech (all 40mb of it) but no joy. Have phoned logitech technical help twice, they are helpful but do seem to have much of a clue as to this problem. Microsoft say that XP has native drivers for a few cameras, including QC Xpress, so it should function from other software and not need the Logitech software to get it to work. I have had it working on two occassions, don't ask how !, but when you close the computer down and reboot all is lost. Maybe I will just have to buy another camera.

Not sure if this is much help but QC is a bit quirky. It does require that the Software is installed first, re-booted then connect camera!
