I'm using a Win98 SE laptop, logging onto an NT domain which uses roaming profiles - at login, I get the above message.

If I OK the error, I can continue as normal (LAN drives mapped OK etc), but its much slower than usual and often freezes completely - the only way to restart is to power off/on again, and then I get all sorts of perfomance problems.

Scandisk didn't show any errors, and I can't perform a defrag (although I 've just found a solution to that problem elsewhere inthese forums, and will try it soon).

Is the problem with the DLL named, or the login script file, or something else altogether?

Could the Hard Disk be on the way out - it is pretty old.

Please check the spelling of loginscr.exe
A google search brings up nothing for it.

LoginScr.exe is the file which processes the NT log-on scripts, and is not located on the client.

MSVBVM60.DLL is an MS Visual Basic .dll. Chances are that someone custom built the .exe. See if the .dll is corrupt. I beleive MS has a copy availiable for D/L. Or the .exe might be corrupt?

I have lost the LPT1 port and can't send documents to my printer for printing, can anyone advise me on what to do?

I have a HP Deskjet 932c Printer, running Windows 98se.

you really need to start a new thread for this, but check device manager for problems with the lpt port and also check the cmos settings and make sure that it is enable and probally should be running ecp as type
