Hello Everyone,
I have a user set up with a SQL Authentication login and she has forgotten her password. Is it necessary for me to reset it (if so how do I do that) or can she just go in and change it by double clicking on her login name and typing it in?

Hi Charlise,

If you have access to the users logins on SQL Server, I would suggest you go into the security and change the password yourself then let the user knoe. You might need to change other things on the PC that is trying to connect (e.g. if it is an ODBC connection the password will need to be changed there as well).

Rgds,

M.
