I'd also like to do the same thing, but i want to be able to get the user to enter their windows NT domain account username and password and my app to check against this. I'm not sure if java can do this without using some other external classes ? if so where can i get these classes (i heard someone mention that some app servers have some packages that handle windows authentication).
If not, i've already written a VB class to do this so i may end up wrapping it in C and using JNI.
