Hello, I have been searching for an example to incorperate into my existing DB which would allow the user to login using a form and depending on which group the user belongs to (Admin or Basic user)who is logging in certain controls on forms will be disabled. Admin of cource would have full access and the basic user would have a button on the main form disabled and 2 buttons on its subform disabled. How can I do this? Thanks

Thanks,
SoggyCashew.....

One method would be to have the user login and write the current user name to a table. then using the controls tag property and the onload event of the form loop through the controls and enable or disable based on the current user and there permissions. if you only have 2 user levels this solution should work fine. There are other more complicated ways.
